About the solution
This solution allows some people with mild to moderate dementia to listen to their favorite music, without assistance. People with dementia can find great joy in listening to their favorite music. But people with dementia rapidly lose the ability to use modern music devices like cell phones, iPods, and stereos. But their teenage memories are still strong. That's why the Dementia Friendly Music Player looks like and operates like a radio from when they were teenagers. But it's modern on the inside - MP3 files etc. I originally designed this for my Dad. And it worked - could use it! I published the plans so you too can make one. All of the parts can be mail ordered and it's pretty easy to make. For more information, see http://dqmusicbox.org.
