e-NABLE Portugal - Dar a Mão Reference Center is a group of volunteers who are making free 3D printed upper limbs for those in need.
However it is not just that, e-NABLE Portugal - Dar a Mão Reference Center is a community of Engineers, Physicians, Professors, Students and Parents who are eager to jump in and help to change lives by using their ideas and their 3D printers to develop devices that are not readily accessible to those in need.

1. Contact
Patient Innovation is contacted by the parents.
2. Evaluation of the child´s eligibility
An evaluation of the child's eligibility for the 3D prosthetic hand is performed.
3. Selection of the 3D model
After an evaluation of the child, one of the open-source models available on e-NABLE's website is chosen.
4. Model customization
The chosen model is then resized, printed and assembled.
5. Manuals
We have developed manuals , in order to make families independent in the process of adapting the models.
The e-NABLE is an online global community of “Digital Humanitarian” volunteers from all over the world who are using their 3D printers to make free and low-cost prosthetic upper limb devices for children in need. The open-source designs created by e-NABLE Volunteers help those who were born missing their upper limb (fingers, hands and arms) or who have lost them due some pathologie or accidents.
