About the solution
Tiffany was depressed and even attempted suicide when she was 12 years old.
“Representation matters. A lot of times when we don’t see what we look like in media, it’s easy to think of yourself as lesser than”.
So, when she became an adult, she decided to design Super Beauty, a doll that looked more like she did when she was an adolescent. Tifanny has also written and illustrated a book series based on Super Beauty’s anti-bullying school adventures, to raise awareness and improve self-love and self-esteem.
“Super Beauty embodies my physical characteristics as a child but personality and spirit now. She’s not a skinny doll, she’s a regular person with unique style and a bubbly personality”, the inventor expressed.
The doll even talks and says cheering things like “Your hair is flawless,” “You’re super dope” and “If people say mean things about you, they just don’t understand your greatness and power.”
Tiffany creates other products such as puzzles, toys and t-shirts. She founded her own company around these inventions, which can be bought online.
