About the solution
So when the parents were together, each one was responsible for one child and the respective vehicle.
However, when one of the parents was alone, it was impossible to be able to push, at the same time, a baby in a stroller and a child in tricycle. This is why they decided to create a bike stroller: the combination of a stroller and a small bike.
With an old bicycle and a stroller, they developed a low-cost bike stroller.
Material used:
- 1 cart wheel
- 1 bike frame
- resin, hardener, glass fiber
- 1 steel square hollow with 20 mm side
- 1 steel square hollow with 16mm side
- 2 screw grips with 8 mm nuts for disassembly and quick settings
How to do it:
- The seat was molded with the polyester resin and the fiberglass to the seat in the tricycle (on which Lilou was quite comfortable).
- Once dry it can be pierced to be attached to one seat. We also drilled it to add a lap belt and crotch fixed with small bolts.
- The frame is made of pieces of old bicycles, cut to order and arc welded.
- A cart wheel was welded to the base.
- 2 legs welded on a metal square of 20 mm grip the frame of the stroller, which can always fold.
- 1 other 16mm square will slide in the latter, to grip the bike to the right or left of the stroller.
