Developing the app that will change Ambulatory Care of Cardiac Patients

We are Cardiosa, a project running since December 2020 that aims to revolutionize outpatient care for patients with chronic heart diseases. We support patients and families in daily health activities, also including the entire patient environment in a structured way using a personalized health app.

Our process is divided into three main stages: Understand, Explore, Realize. Recently we finalized the first phase where we conducted 21 interviews from which we drew 1200 statements, 135 themes, and three areas of opportunity. With the latter, namely Motivation, Behavior and Lifestyle Habits, and Education, we are now situated in the second phase, Explore. Through several ideation sessions, we were able to obtain a big range of ideas and concepts that we will realize in the form of different initial prototypes that will be used in order to test their viabilities. These prototypes will be evaluated and refined in an iterative process until the best possible solution emerges.

We are now situated in a decisive phase, in which we need several patients willing to test a simple prototype in what will be a 60-minute platform test session.
