Man invents special wheelchair for his brother

Shared by John Smith on 2014-01-13 19:45

About the solution

Bryan is a former motocross champion and became tetraplegic in 2009, due to a riding accident. Being wheelchair-bound since the accident, Bryan found that most common wheelchairs were only prepared to be used in smooth terrain and were too heavy and expensive. In his own words, he "wanted something that we could load into the station wagon so it had to be light but still have the power”

So he and his brother Ed, designed a wheelchair that weights only 40kg and fits into a station wagon. The brothers still haven’t patented their invention, and they presented their prototype on the New Inventors tv show. They are looking for manufacturers.
