About the solution
"Bryce and the Blood Ninjas" is a children's book written specifically for young kids grappling with a new pediatric cancer diagnosis. It's main purpose is to contextualize their condition, give credence to how serious it is, encourage complete buy-in with their treatment regimen (parents may have to make adjustments in the story to mirror the intricacies of their child's regimen), but mostly encourage them to maintain their youthful exuberance through it all. Illnesses are very serious, deserve a child's respect, but don't require them to live in constant fear. The story may also be very helpful to parents unsure, or struggling, with how to handle the diagnosis themselves.
