About the solution
Inclusio is an innovative digital solution that enables people with disabilities to independently access on-site services at banks, grocery stores, pharmacies and other public or private sector locations.
The Problem:
People with disabilities encounter many challenges when trying to access on-site services. Whether it's a person with mobility impairments navigating revolving doors and stairs or an individual with visual impairments seeking assistance in a crowded area, each type of disability requires different forms of assistance. While employees are typically willing to help, they may not be able to recognize when a person with a disability needs help, or understand the specific nature of the assistance which is needed. This creates a gap in accessibility that often prevents individuals from fully using the services and facilities they are entitled to access.
The Inclusio solution:
Inclusio addresses this challenge by providing a two-sided platform that empowers both individuals with disabilities and businesses to communicate more effectively, making sure that everyone receives the support they need.
For Businesses (Partner app): The Inclusio Partner app’s purpose is to inform employees about the arrival of individuals with disabilities. Once the user arrives at the location, the app notifies the staff about the individual’s specific needs, such as assistance with the wheelchair or auditory guidance for navigating the facility. This proactive communication allows employees to be prepared and offer personalized assistance before the person even asks for help.
For Individuals with disabilities (User app): The Inclusio User app (available free of charge for Android and iOS), allows individuals with disabilities to communicate their presence and specific needs to the employees at a location. Users can send real-time alerts to businesses about the type of assistance they require, whether it's help with entering the building, finding a quieter area, or receiving guidance through complex spaces.
How Inclusio Works:
Step 1: A user with a disability downloads the Inclusio User app and creates a profile that outlines their specific accessibility needs.
Step 2: When visiting a participating location, the user sends an alert through the app to notify the business about their arrival and the assistance they need.
Step 3: The business receives the alert via the Partner app, notifying staff members about the individual’s specific requirements. Employees are then prepared to assist before the user has to request help in person.
Step 4: The user receives personalized assistance from the staff, ensuring a smooth and accessible experience.
