About the solution
Regina and her husband like to go to Italy to enjoy the sun. After their son Christian was born with multiple disabilities, which forced him to use a wheelchair, they had to think of a solution to protect him in the wheelchair from the sunlight.
The only solution they found suitable for the wheelchair was actually meant for sunbeds, but at least it protected his face. In order to expand the protection to his upper body, they developed a new roof that is adjustable in many ways.
The roof can be used for different wheelchairs with pipe diameters from 16-28 mm as it is fixed with a system of clamps. It can be turned up, down, left and right and thus the roof can be adjusted easily to the position of the sun.
Having satisfied their own need, they commercialized their solution and became entrepreneurs, having also developed a rain cover.
