About the solution
Terri Bryant was a celebrity makeup artist and beauty educator. for many years, when at the height of her career, she started to experience a loss of dexterity in her hand which led to challenges applying makeup, either due to tremours or even due to the inability of picking up small objects. Not much time passed until she eventually was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. This was a devastating blow to the make-up artist, as she used her hands to do due her craft.
This didn't put her spirits down but empowered her to set out and create a better and easier way to do makeup, powered by her knowledge and a life-long love for her art. This is when GUIDE beauty was born.
She took every bit of feedback that makeup users gave her, and with the help of a design team and ergonomic experts, they created proprietary and innovative tools that literally GUIDE your hand. They also took into consideration that the formula itself should be as forgiving as it is luxurious and, of course, cruelty-free, vegan, and thoughtfully formulated without toxins and harsh ingredients, so that comfort and accessibility wouldn't equal a not-so-good product.
With the help of Selma Blair, who revealed her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 2018, Terry is now taking GUIDE Beauty to the next level and changing the game in the beauty industry, by developing a culture of broader inclusion through Universal Design.
