About the solution
Edward suffers from a disease called retinitis pigmentosa which causes decreasing of peripheral vision and light sensitivity. This makes simple tasks, like reading your average size grocery list, impossible without assistive technology.
In late 2014, Edward began looking for his 2015 weekly planner. After checking several local stores and online he couldn’t find anything that come close to his needs. He claimed that the print wasn’t large enough, the color and font of the text wasn’t the best and there wasn’t enough space to write.
He then decided to create a personalized weekly calendar that he could easily use.
To reduce the price of printing the calendar he decided to print some more samples.
When he showed to his friends and family, he was shocked and overwhelmed by their reaction and enthusiasm, so he decided to start selling the other calendars he had printed.
The buyers reaction was amazing and gratifying. They said that the calendar gave them back some of the independence they lost.
To continue this journey he created a company called EZ2See® Products LLC that sells products to everyone that suffers from low vision.
You can find weekly planner calendar, organizer and address book and even an academic weekly planner. The price of the products is $24.99.
