Patient develops app to cope with Diabetes

Shared by Ana Duarte on 2017-03-10 12:03

About the solution

Raghuraj was diagnosed with Diabetes in 2013. After talking to patients and doctors, he realized that there was a gap between what patients with chronic diseases like Diabetes needed and what support was currently available.

“I was personally frustrated. It was not efficiently managed. It’s a big problem, and there are not solutions that deal with it in the right manner”, he stated.

The inventor created HealthPlix, his own company, in 2015.

The app works by connecting patients to their doctors for real-time messaging. It also allows Patients to record their blood sugar, meals, activity, and insulin intake. The app keeps their charts and medical records, which can be shared with the doctors. Patients can also view tips for managing their disease.
