About the solution
Still in the maternity ward was diagnosed my daughter bilateral hip dysplasia, diagnosis confirmed in the following days by orthopedics.
Yet it has been placed in the first week of life a containment device called Pavlik. These appliances are not made think of newborn babies because the tapes are not supported where they were and are very uncomfortable. In the first days the baby was left with wounds on the back of the thigh. The solution we got ourselves was cut tights for the device not directly in contact with the skin. In fact, in the six months we had to use the device (4 months day and night, sleeping only 2 months), was the solution that we used always. The device very conditioned the kind of clothes to wear can - incompatible with clothes with legs baby-grow type, pajamas or pants).
There are many options available as placement of containment devices like Pavlik, plaster, or surgery. Thanks to early action the situation was resolved in six months.
Information available on the Internet, I believe that the best source is http://hipdysplasia.org/
