About the solution
The "Oficina dos Sons" project, developed by JUNITEC - Junior Enterprises of the Instituto Superior Técnico, comprises students from the Técnico, aimed at assisting children with learning difficulties in reading and writing. Recognized with the prestigious Most Impactful Project award by Junior Enterprises Europe (JE Europe), this initiative provides a free platform of educational games tailored for children's literacy development.
Driven by the desire to address pedagogical challenges faced by children struggling with reading and writing, JUNITEC students embarked on a mission to create an accessible solution for all children. The "Oficina dos Sons" platform offers a dynamic and interactive approach to phonological awareness exercises, fostering language and writing skills through engaging gameplay.
The "Oficina dos Sons" is a free online platform accessible to all children, providing a range of games designed to enhance phonological awareness. Through various games, children can associate sounds with words and images, facilitating language development enjoyably and playfully. The project's pro bono nature ensures that every child, regardless of background or financial means, can benefit from educational support for literacy development.
By offering a user-friendly and accessible platform, "Oficina dos Sons" aims to make a meaningful impact on childhood literacy. Recognized for its innovation and social impact, the project serves as a testament to the dedication and entrepreneurial spirit of JUNITEC students.
Building on their success, JUNITEC plans to continue expanding the reach and effectiveness of "Oficina dos Sons." Future endeavors may include partnerships with educational institutions, further development of interactive learning tools, and initiatives to promote literacy awareness on a broader scale.
