Shower Soc - Waterproof PICC garment

Shared by Patricia Pereira on 2015-05-19 15:34

About the solution

The diagnosis required chemotherapy for nine months, and then a stem cell transplant. Doctors put a PICC line in Pavuchak's upper arm to deliver the chemotherapy. The line stayed in place throughout his treatment. During that time, he got discouraged waiting for someone to help him wrap up his PICC line in order for him to take a shower. So he was determined to come up with a way to make being self-sufficient easier. And then, Pavuchak invented the Shower Soc - A disposable, waterproof product guaranteed to keep treatment areas dry and prevent infection. A patient can put it on without help. Shower Soc not only protects PICC lines from water, but also stitches, casts or any other issue that shouldn't get wet. After accidentally pulling out his line, Pavuchak also invented the PICC Soc. An elastic tube that was designed to keep everything in place.
