About the solution
Rahul Rastogi’s father had a serious heart attack a few years back, it was so impactful that he needed prolonged care, which meant repeated visits to the hospital for ECG check-ups to ensure proper recovery. Unfortunately, Rahul wasn't able to attend all of his father's appointments, due to living so far away, which meant that he wasn't able to check up on his dad and be updated about his health as frequently as he wanted to.
Also, in addition to the treatment, Rahul also wanted to help his dad keep track of his heart health, and in order to do that, he began a search for any device that could monitor the state of his father's heart at home. While many of the devices that he found were to monitor blood pressure, he couldn’t find anything that focused on heart health as a whole.
He then asked for his wife Neha's help in the search for some kind of a portable ECG machine, but eventually just led them to many more dead ends. As they were both electronic engineers who always wanted to do more than just their jobs, they began to look at this problem and its solution as the key to creating a substantial impact using their knowledge. All their effort then materialized in SanketLife!
This instrument is a medical-grade wireless and portable ECG device that can monitor the user’s heart health based on touch. It is connected to an app on a smartphone where it registers and reports the results of the reading after every check-up. Unlike other ECG ‘single-lead’ devices that can only monitor the rhythm of the heart, SanketLife can efficiently diagnose the problem.
it is approved by DGCI, CDSCO, and is clinically tested at Narayana Hrudayala and Shri Jayadeva Cardiac Institute, Bangalore where it showed 98% accuracy. It is also patent protected with US FDA 510(K) in process.
