About the solution
CarePredict is a solution born from a personal need when its founder sought better ways to care for his parents ensuring a piece of mind. Since its inception in 2013, CarePredict has aimed to change senior care by identifying patterns in seniors' daily lives that can predict health declines, allowing for early intervention. It’s designed to serve various senior care environments, including assisted living, memory care, independent living communities, and home care settings. It aims to improve the quality of care for seniors by identifying patterns in their daily activities and predicting potential health declines, allowing for early intervention.
CarePredict’s primary feature is its use of AI and machine learning to analyze seniors' activities and behaviors. By doing so, it identifies early signs of health issues such as falls, urinary tract infections, depression, and nutritional deficits. Central to this system is the Tempo™ wearable, a wrist-worn device equipped with sensors to monitor daily activities like eating, bathing, and sleeping. This device provides real-time insights without the need for intrusive cameras. The Tempo™ is user-friendly for older adults, featuring a simple interface that responds to voice commands, rechargeable batteries, and customizable wristbands.
To enhance its monitoring capabilities, CarePredict uses “Context Beacons”, small battery-powered devices placed throughout living spaces to provide precise location data. This helps the system better understand and predict behaviors based on room context. CarePredict delivers actionable insights through real-time push notifications, web-based dashboards, scheduled emailed reports, and on-demand reports, covering various health metrics such as eating duration, sleep patterns, and social interactions.
CarePredict has demonstrated significant improvements in senior care outcomes, reducing falls by 69% and hospitalizations by 39%, and increasing the length of stay by 67%. This not only enhances the quality of care but also provides financial benefits to care facilities. By combining advanced technology with a deep understanding of senior care needs, CarePredict enables caregivers to provide proactive and personalized care, ensuring the well-being of seniors and peace of mind for their families.
