Man invents Diabetes gadget inspired by his parents

Shared by Ana Duarte on 2017-03-17 11:10

About the solution

Diabeto is a complete Diabetes management system which consists of a non-intrusive bluetooth powered accessible hardware device that enables the transfer of blood glucose readings from the Glucometer into a smartphone. These readings are then stored securely on a cloud server so that the data can be accessed easily, anywhere, anytime, using the Diabeto mobile app (available for iOS and Android).

Shreekant launched a crowding campaign and then founded his own company, which has offices in India and USA.

“They wanted certain features tweaked, such as medication input,” he said, about his parents being the first testers.

The team is building a cloud-based platform that it will sell as a service to the medical industry. They are only focusing on Diabetes for now, but they plan to work on smarter data technology on conditions such as blood pressure and chronic disorders like irritable bowel syndrome.
