About the solution
When Larisa Aragon Castro was first diagnosed with breast cancer, she was fooled with a diagnosis that was so incredibly worrying that she couldn't listen to anything else the doctors were saying. After the dust settled she was left with multiple pages of information regarding her diagnosis, the prognosis of her disease, and the next steps in her treatment. This overflow of information left her disorientated, not knowing what to tackle first and who to ask in order to better understand the overall picture.
This is how Summed began! Larissa wanted to democratize medical information in order to make it accessible and understandable to patients, informal caregivers and families.
This relies in an application where people put their medical reports or some scientific article in which treatment options are discussed, and after a few seconds the patient receives the “translation” of the report in a very clear and easy-to-understand summary, Apart from this, and the patient also receives information about the most credible sources regarding their problem. This "translation" can be done, at the moment, in up to 60 languages.
