Mother creates crib easy to carry around

Rachel Faul's daughter, Abigail, is a two-year-old baby who has a lot of complications related to her heart. She doesn't have the strength to sit up on her own yet. So the parents must keep an eye on her all the time. Her crib was huge and impossible to easily move from room to room so Rachel wanted something that the baby could sleep and play but was also easy to move to wherever the parents were. She was inspired by a blogger who posted photos of some sort of foam bed.

Mother creates Potty Training Belt for children with proprioceptive difficulties

Rachel once was reading an article that contained an interview about an adult who was severely autistic, but who was able to communicate through typing. He was recalling his childhood when his mother would call to him from another room, and he just couldn't remember where his legs were or how to start walking. It wasn't until she came into the room and yelled at him to stand up that suddenly he remembered how to move his legs, stand up, and walk. This article inspired her to create a belt to help children with proprioceptive difficulties.

Parents create a way to keep a diaper on a toddler

Sometimes a kid isn't ready/interested in potty training for whatever reason, but still likes to take his pants and the diaper off and make a mess. So Rachel decided to wear the pajamas on her toddler backwards. This way he can't take the pajamas off and te diaper stays on.

Mother uses tights to calm a sensory seeker

"All you need is nylons or tights. Once you have one of these, pick up the toddler and hold him tightly. Don't yell or act angry, your yelling will make his brain freak out even more. When he's still enough for you to begin, hold one foot of the tights by his right armpit and over his left shoulder. Pull rather tightly, but not tight enough to bruise. When the tights are back to his right armpit, simply wrap them over the loose foot end to secure it. Once you've reached that point, the rest of this should be pretty easy.
