OCD Treatment When You Need It Most

Shared by nOCD on 2016-07-08 16:12

About the solution

nOCD is an app that helps bridge the gap between mental health practitioners and people with OCD, allowing patients to get clinically effective treatment when they need it most. It supplies patients with custom, on-the-go ERP guidance, real-time objective data, platforms to manage and engage in an ERP plan, and HIPAA regulated connectivity. With the objective data, mental health clinicians are enabled to understand all of their OCD patients better in one, centralized place, creating a more effective and efficient practice. Additionally using nOCD, people with OCD can do more for their condition, knowing that their "all-in-one treatment" is always available, especially if they have an episode on-the-go or if they need help structuring and/or practicing their treatment exercises.

Stephen Smith, nOCD's Co-Founder, developed nOCD in light of his own personal struggle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). While his OCD symptoms were at its worst, it took Stephen five tries to find a clinician that specialized in OCD, a similar problem faced by many other people struggling from this chronic illness. However, after finally finding an OCD specialist, Stephen quickly realized that he was usually alone when he needed help the most, causing him even more frustration. This frustration acted as a catalyst, motivating Stephen to create nOCD. With nOCD, Stephen strives to revolutionize OCD treatment around the world!
