Annie decidiu inventar essa solução depois os álbuns deixarem de funcionar quando o seu avô deixou de conseguir de lembrar-se do seu nome.
Então, com a ajuda dos seus colegas de escola, ela criou o Remember Me, uma app móvel que usa tecnologia de reconhecimento facial e uma câmara de smartphone para ajudar os doentes com Alzheimer a reconhecer familiares, amigos e cuidadores.
A app funciona tirando uma foto e fornecendo ao utilizador informações detalhadas, como o nome da pessoa, o relacionamento com o doente e até mesmo localizando fotos anteriores dos dois.
A app permitiu que essa equipa ganhasse o título de "Melhor da região" no Verizon Innovative App Challenge de 2015, que resultou num prémio de US $ 5.000 para o programa STEM da sua escola.
