Ana Duarte 于 2019-10-01 17:09 分享

About the solution

Josep William Widjaja and Ridwan Djuhari, from Indonesia, develop systems to help disabled users. They were inspired Kwa Geok Choo, the wife of Singapore first Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, and how they kept communicating after Kwa’s had a severe stroke in 2008.

Eye Control app is an Android app that features an eye-tracking technology, providing a communication platform for patients experiencing speech disabilities.

It took the team six months to build the app. Joseph and Ridwanwon the Android Samsung Mobile Apps at SparxUp Awards, in 2011, with this project.

The duo, also known as ANDTechnology, know each other since they were college students. At first, they focused on assembling hardware to solve this problem. However, they realised that implementing hardware-based solution was not practical since consumers would be unwilling to buy a hardware, which is priced higher than merely acquiring a mobile application.

They also developed DokterKita (Our Doctor), a telemedicine app anyone can use to get consultations and healthcare services from doctors.

They created their own company, ANDTechnology.
