Fistula Protect
Fistula Protect develops custom-made protectors for dialysis patients with arteriovenous fistulas. Using 3D scanning and 3D printing, each device is tailored for a secure fit that shields the fistula from impacts, cuts, and compression. The solution improves safety and comfort, helping patients maintain an active and confident life. Created by Gal Hostnik, a young dialysis patient who nearly suffered a life-threatening AV fistula injury. Taught himself 3D scanning & printing to design a personalised fistula protector. Turned a personal need into a life-saving device for dialysis patients.
Hashimotto
Hashimotto is a personalized digital health companion for people with Hashimoto’s disease. It helps patients track symptoms, lab results, diet and lifestyle, turning data into science-based recommendations. By integrating wearables and offering stress management, nutrition guidance, and community support, it empowers patients to better manage their condition. Born from the founder’s personal journey as a Hashimoto’s patient After years of trial & error with diet and lifestyle, he envisioned a digital health companion to support others with the same condition
Hypoplas
Hypoplas is creating the Inversus gown: a dignified, sustainable and cost-effective hospital garment. It wraps fully around the body to preserve patient modesty, has a reversible V-neck for front and back access, and withstands up to 200 laundering cycles. At the end of its lifecycle it can be recycled into virgin fibres, reducing textile waste while supporting Net Zero healthcare goals. Created by Olivia Burns, born with a congenital heart condition and one of the first UK patients to survive all three surgeries for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. After 21 surgeries and years of hospital stays, she experienced first-hand the indignity and discomfort of generic gowns.
Lucie ADHD
Lucie ADHD is a digital psychoeducational game designed for women with ADHD. It combines cycle and mood tracking with interactive storytelling set in 1890s Paris. The app teaches users about the link between ADHD symptoms and the menstrual cycle, integrates strategies from cognitive behavioural therapy, and provides relaxation exercises. Its gamified design is tailored to neurodivergent needs and makes psychoeducation more accessible. Created by Ricarda Saleh, diagnosed with ADHD at age 32. Experiencing the lack of psychoeducational resources for women with ADHD, she envisioned a playful, gamified tool to help women understand and manage their symptoms in connection with their hormonal cycle.
Mentelem
Mentelem is a workplace mental health platform that combines technology, clinical intervention, and psychoeducational content. It offers companies assessments across 20+ emotional health areas, 24/7 chat with specialized psychologists, individual therapy sessions within 48 hours, structured progress reports for both employees and employers, and personalized psychoeducational resources. Luis Sánchez, now COO of Mentelem, entered the Bootcamp with his earlier project Oath Technology, driven by his work in mental health innovation and the ambition to make psychological care more accessible. His trajectory led him to join Mentelem, where his motivation aligns with the company’s mission of expanding access to mental health support through technology.
Playphysio
Playphysio turns routine respiratory physiotherapy into interactive games. Using the PhysioPal sensor, a mobile app, and a clinician dashboard, it improves adherence, ensures correct technique, reduces family stress, and enhances quality of life for children with chronic respiratory conditions. Created by Will Jackson, a product designer and father of a child with cystic fibrosis, to make daily therapy less stressful. His daughter Isabella was the first test user, proving treatment could be turned into play.
Telos Care
Telos is a mobile app that organizes fragmented health information into one platform. Patients and caregivers can record appointments and exams, add notes and symptoms, and securely share data. AI streamlines data capture and will provide personalized health insights to improve consultations and care management. Created by siblings Ana and Guilherme Fonseca, inspired by their experience as informal caregivers for their grandparents. Struggling to track medical appointments, exams, and symptoms, they realized millions face the same problem: health information scattered and incomplete.
Twily
Digital health app designed for breastfeeding mothers during breast-pumping. It delivers AI-personalized, low-stimulation audio sessions that reduce stress, support hormonal balance, improve sleep, and prolong milk production. Unlike general wellness apps, Twily is built specifically for the physical, emotional, and hormonal context of postpartum pumping. Created by Nora Stenman-Kuphal after her experience as a preemie mother facing exhaustion, hormonal imbalance, and the stress of nightly pumping. She designed Twily to provide the body–mind support she lacked, helping mothers worldwide extend breastfeeding and improve well-being.
Urlegfix
Urlegfix creates adaptive tights and leggings for people using urinary catheters or managing incontinence. With discreet pouches for urine drainage bags, magnetic crotch openings for diaper changes, and secure tube fixation, the design combines comfort, dignity, and practicality while supporting daily mobility and confidence. Developed by Teresa Ferreira after a hysterectomy complication left her with a vesicovaginal fistula. Struggling with leakage, catheter use, and unsuitable clothing, she began designing functional legwear to restore warmth, comfort, and dignity.
