Fistula Protect develops custom-made protectors for dialysis patients with arteriovenous fistulas. Using 3D scanning and 3D printing, each device is tailored for a secure fit that shields the fistula from impacts, cuts, and compression. The solution improves safety and comfort, helping patients maintain an active and confident life. Created by Gal Hostnik, a young dialysis patient who nearly suffered a life-threatening AV fistula injury. Taught himself 3D scanning & printing to design a personalised fistula protector. Turned a personal need into a life-saving device for dialysis patients.

Hashimotto

Hashimotto is a personalized digital health companion for people with Hashimoto’s disease. It helps patients track symptoms, lab results, diet and lifestyle, turning data into science-based recommendations. By integrating wearables and offering stress management, nutrition guidance, and community support, it empowers patients to better manage their condition. Born from the founder’s personal journey as a Hashimoto’s patient After years of trial & error with diet and lifestyle, he envisioned a digital health companion to support others with the same condition

Hypoplas

Hypoplas is creating the Inversus gown: a dignified, sustainable and cost-effective hospital garment. It wraps fully around the body to preserve patient modesty, has a reversible V-neck for front and back access, and withstands up to 200 laundering cycles. At the end of its lifecycle it can be recycled into virgin fibres, reducing textile waste while supporting Net Zero healthcare goals. Created by Olivia Burns, born with a congenital heart condition and one of the first UK patients to survive all three surgeries for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. After 21 surgeries and years of hospital stays, she experienced first-hand the indignity and discomfort of generic gowns.

Lucie ADHD

Lucie ADHD is a digital psychoeducational game designed for women with ADHD. It combines cycle and mood tracking with interactive storytelling set in 1890s Paris. The app teaches users about the link between ADHD symptoms and the menstrual cycle, integrates strategies from cognitive behavioural therapy, and provides relaxation exercises. Its gamified design is tailored to neurodivergent needs and makes psychoeducation more accessible. Created by Ricarda Saleh, diagnosed with ADHD at age 32. Experiencing the lack of psychoeducational resources for women with ADHD, she envisioned a playful, gamified tool to help women understand and manage their symptoms in connection with their hormonal cycle.

Mentelem

Mentelem is a workplace mental health platform that combines technology, clinical intervention, and psychoeducational content. It offers companies assessments across 20+ emotional health areas, 24/7 chat with specialized psychologists, individual therapy sessions within 48 hours, structured progress reports for both employees and employers, and personalized psychoeducational resources. Luis Sánchez, now COO of Mentelem, entered the Bootcamp with his earlier project Oath Technology, driven by his work in mental health innovation and the ambition to make psychological care more accessible. His trajectory led him to join Mentelem, where his motivation aligns with the company’s mission of expanding access to mental health support through technology.

Playphysio

Playphysio turns routine respiratory physiotherapy into interactive games. Using the PhysioPal sensor, a mobile app, and a clinician dashboard, it improves adherence, ensures correct technique, reduces family stress, and enhances quality of life for children with chronic respiratory conditions. Created by Will Jackson, a product designer and father of a child with cystic fibrosis, to make daily therapy less stressful. His daughter Isabella was the first test user, proving treatment could be turned into play.

Telos Care

Telos is a mobile app that organizes fragmented health information into one platform. Patients and caregivers can record appointments and exams, add notes and symptoms, and securely share data. AI streamlines data capture and will provide personalized health insights to improve consultations and care management. Created by siblings Ana and Guilherme Fonseca, inspired by their experience as informal caregivers for their grandparents. Struggling to track medical appointments, exams, and symptoms, they realized millions face the same problem: health information scattered and incomplete.

Twily

Digital health app designed for breastfeeding mothers during breast-pumping. It delivers AI-personalized, low-stimulation audio sessions that reduce stress, support hormonal balance, improve sleep, and prolong milk production. Unlike general wellness apps, Twily is built specifically for the physical, emotional, and hormonal context of postpartum pumping. Created by Nora Stenman-Kuphal after her experience as a preemie mother facing exhaustion, hormonal imbalance, and the stress of nightly pumping. She designed Twily to provide the body–mind support she lacked, helping mothers worldwide extend breastfeeding and improve well-being.

Urlegfix

Urlegfix creates adaptive tights and leggings for people using urinary catheters or managing incontinence. With discreet pouches for urine drainage bags, magnetic crotch openings for diaper changes, and secure tube fixation, the design combines comfort, dignity, and practicality while supporting daily mobility and confidence. Developed by Teresa Ferreira after a hysterectomy complication left her with a vesicovaginal fistula. Struggling with leakage, catheter use, and unsuitable clothing, she began designing functional legwear to restore warmth, comfort, and dignity.

The solution is an initiative to provide mental health support for patients battling social isolation, drawing on insights from doctors' reports. This effort is personally motivated by the founder Kestutis Bajorunas, a brain cancer survivor who faced significant mental health challenges during post-surgery follow-up.

A new digital and holistic cancer patient navigator is set to transform the support available to cancer patients, offering a comprehensive suite of features including personalized healthcare system navigation tailored to specific types of cancer, a medical language "translator," nutritional and emotional support, strategies for coping with side effects, and an AI chatbot. The initiative is driven by the founder Larisa Pintea, a blood cancer survivor, who is aware of the gaps in current patient support systems.

Healostic

Healostic is a startup focused on skin care with its comprehensive platform designed to support patients dealing with skin conditions. Driven by the founder's struggle with eczema and the challenges in finding effective solutions, the platform offers a holistic approach that includes mental health support, personalized nutrition plans, a knowledge bank powered by AI, a chatbot, and a peer-to-peer community-based app. The care team comprises dermatologists and psychologists to provide well-rounded assistance.

PD Connect

Combining educational resources with physical activities, the PD Connect digital platform aims to encourage exercise and offer a variety of services, providing a centralized and targeted solution for those living with Parkinson's. The project is driven by the founder's personal Jo Hollandbattle with Parkinson's and is co-led by her physical therapist, who holds a PhD from this project.

Can-Can Kids Cancer Literature

"Can-Can and the Adventure of Ming Island" is a children's book co-authored and illustrated by Carmen Monge and Heenah Pokun. It is the heartwarming tale of Can-Can the panda and his faithful friend, Mopri, the sloth, as together they embark on an epic adventure through the jungles of Ming Island, and the journey of Can-Can's cancer diagnosis. This is not a story that delivers the facts about cancer treatment. This is a story about life AROUND cancer, and about friendship and family.

Dreamer

Dreamer is the first medical device to combat scars rigidity induced not only by mastectomy but also by chemotherapy and radiotherapy repeatedly received by patients following breast cancer. Dreamer allows women to benefit from less restrictive, less dangerous, and noninvasive breast reconstruction. Dreamer is placed on the breast during reconstruction and exerts a slight suction stretching the tissues of the skin toward the outside. Combining suction with vibration improves blood circulation and gives the traumatized skin some flexibility and elasticity, in addition to creating a pouch. To further promote healing and regeneration of the skin from the area of action, the device has at least one red light-emitting diode (led) a series of small red LEDs known to have regenerative and healing properties.

eBreathie

eBreathie is a smart inhaler - a medical device that turns a patient's traditional inhaler into a "smart", connectable one. Through a sensor attached to the inhaler the patient already uses, it transmits useful and reliable information to a mobile application and a patient management platform. Their product tells the patients and the doctors when they took their medication and if they did it correctly, while also recording the symptoms the patients enter autonomously in the mobile app. This allows their doctors to telemonitor these patients while giving more personalized and patient-centered medical care, facilitating telemedicine procedures, and eliminating healthcare access constraints.

Exercogs

To respond to the new health needs resulting from population aging, particularly in the area of dementia, Exercogs was created. They are a combined solution that allows simultaneous physical exercise, cognitive stimulation, and social interaction, providing an increase in the quality of life of seniors. They bet on gamification and augmented reality, with appealing and interactive game scenarios that allow for a motivating experience and health gains. The Exercogs playset has been specially designed to promote social interaction, allowing you to create healthy connections between older people

Globe Patient is a medical record system that contains both critical health data and information about the patient's communication profile. The information can be generated in different languages, which means that doctors, regardless of which country the patient is in, get a faster understanding of the patient's condition. With Globe Patient, everyone, including the deaf and others where communication becomes a challenge, can feel confident in receiving the best possible medical care, whether at home or abroad.

Ikaardia is building a smart AI mobile app to track and manage cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Their flagship product is a mobile application named 'My CardioTherapist' designed to assist individuals prevent CVD and manage their cardiovascular health. This innovative app aims to provide comprehensive support and resources to patients, helping them navigate their cardiovascular health journey effectively. 'My CardioTherapist' serves as a virtual companion, offering personalised guidance, education, and monitoring features to empower patients in managing their condition. The app will provide valuable information about cardiovascular health, including preventive measures, lifestyle modifications, and selfcare practices.

MTM Biotechnology

Their innovation promotes inward-oriented mindfulness activities augmented with real-time or offline neurofeedback guidance. The aim is to provide a hybrid platform (earpods equipped with EEG sensors and a digital application), such that individuals can start building up their own routines to explore and improve their well-being with the guidance and feedback gathered by their own brain waves. In addition, its powerful analysis software helps to discover mental processes such as focus span, stress level, sleep-quality with tailored games, practices and activities.

Muié brings sexy lingerie adapted to the needs of women that had breast cancer. They combine a sexy and fun design with safe antibacterial fabrics to make the bras even more comfortable and adaptable to wear. They are promoting the physical, mental, and sexual well-being of women that lost a big part of their self-esteem. They are not trying to be your regular lingerie store, they promote all bodies and bring awareness to women’s medicine.

NOUI Bladder Monitor

The NOUI Bladder Monitor team is creating a super tiny non-invasive real-time bladder monitor using the electric signal transmission capacitance coupling method to compare the signal strengths and estimate the fluidity of the wearer’s bladder. It notifies caregivers of the time to empty the bladder or catheterization. It is built on simple electronic construction, is affordable, and has a longer battery life span. The electrodes are integrated into flexible stretchable printed electronics to ensure extra comfort for patients with dementia.

The Scan4myHealth platform provides an integrated solution for the management and monitoring of vital signs of patients as well as medication alerts. The Careceiver app, is an care management app that will take care to the next level. It allows caregivers to check in on their relatives from anywhere any time in the world, by collecting essential health care data 24/07 through a platform available for the patient that can be consulted at any time, giving caregivers the peace of mind that they deserve. The platform ensures all information, appointments and medication are provided to the caregiver and allows a fully personalised experience according to the needs of each family.

Diabmate is a real-time monitoring solution allowing medical staff and helpers to get the data they need to improve diabetes management. The platform allows fast and secure smart data exchanges between patients, caregivers, and helpers. With Diabmate, patient can easily know what to do and when. They can easily share with the medical staff their blood sugar levels, insulin intakes.

Tailored Talks - UK

In early 2022, the MyTailoredTalks Long COVID App was developed to help patients suffering from Long COVID. This project is to help roll-out ‘MyTailoredTalks’ the patient-focused mobile application version of the Tailored Talks platform, currently for Long COVID support. Patients asynchronously complete a symptom self-assessment and, depending on responses, are automatically offered individualize support through MyTailoredTalks to help with their recovery with Long COVID.

Lightupcane

After getting hit by a car when crossing the street with a white cane, because the driver had not seen her, Lightupcane was created. Lightupcane is a light-emitting white cane for visually impaired persons (VIP), so that drivers and others can better see the VIP from a much longer distance. This saves can save lives, and give confidence and freedom to the VIP.

Reality Telling

While the development of the health system in general has led to an increase in the survival rate of patients, this is many times associated with psychological, physical and social disorders as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress. Reality Telling believes they can accompany patients that are in these situations bringing immersive experiences, using 360º/AR/VR technology, that help them to reconnect with the outside environment and give them distraction or better knowledge before and during treatments.

ScallyCare

Scally Care is an emotional support bot for cancer survivor caregivers that will create a psychologically healthy environment around the patient. It is composed by a set of simple but effective methods endorsed by onco-psychologists, which they have used in their practice everyday: mood tracker, appreciation diary, reports on the daily routine, motivating quotes, meditation audio. The bot also monitors medication intake. During the war in Ukraine, it will allow them continue to care for the patient at a distance: monitor the timely administration of medication by the patient, stay in touch with psychologists, and concentrate on treatment.

SENSOSEAT

SENSOSEAT is a smart cushion for wheelchair users to prevent pressure ulcer (PU) through analyzing their movement by artificial intelligence and create their personal behavioral trend to detect any deviation and send alarm to warn the user and give them recommendation on how to overcome the risk of getting pressure ulcer. According to statistics, 58% of all wheelchair users got pressure ulcer at least once in their life, and PU is dangerous and painful and can lead the patient to an imminent death.

Smart Inhaler

The inhaled therapeutics market lacks RWD & RWE and has outdated care models/software/devices, are failing the patient and the healthcare systems, and these limited innovations' financial burden altitude is escalating. Purcell is an early-stage, UKbased, MedTech who is developing reusable smart inhalers, DTx software, and Machine learning algorithms for inhaled therapies to allow the remote monitoring of patients and create therapeutic interventions that will save change lives and save them.

After losing his natural voice 4 years ago, Konrad was unable to find the convenient solution, so the Uhura Technologies team designed the relevant technology to restore natural communication of laryngectomees with the use of smart interfaces.
