About the solution
The app has the ability to convert unintelligible speech into clear audio. Currently in beta stage the app recognises each individual user's vocal patterns and is able to echo their words in a clearer fashion. People with conditions such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Brain Damage, Autism, Parkinson's Disease and more could benefit from the app's abilities.
One of the app's most impressive features is that due to its unique calibration system it has the ability to work with any language. Combined with the capability to be used on most devices, from smartphones to computers, the app has wide universal appeal. Even those with very severe speech difficulties will be supported by the app.
“Talkitt is a speech recognition application but this isn’t standard technology. We are using pattern recognition which is personalized for the speaker. For example, a person with Cerebral Palsy might say ‘sho-ko-la’ when he really means to say ‘chocolate'. The app will recognize that based on the user’s own personalized, pre-recorded dictionary. Because the software is speaker dependent and not language dependent, it can be used in any language whether it be French or Klingon.
It is a true life changer for millions, empowering those with speech disabilities by enabling them to be self-sufficient and helping them integrate into society”, Danny explained.
