About the solution
Prapela is a vibrating pad that gently stimulates a baby's natural breathing pattern, reducing episodes of apnea. The device uses patented technology that is based on years of research on the physiology of breathing in infants. The pad is placed under the baby's mattress and connected to a control unit that generates a low-frequency vibration. The vibration is carefully calibrated to stimulate the baby's respiratory muscles and promote a regular breathing pattern, reducing apnea and other breathing-related issues.
The Prapela pad has undergone clinical testing and has been shown to be safe and effective in reducing apnea of prematurity. It is now utilized in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) across the United States and in several other countries.
