About the solution
The colon is one of the most important organs in human body and yet it has been one of the most neglected one.
Till some few years ago.
Some scientists, aknowldeging its importance , has even dubbed colon as " the external liver" due to the tremendous amounts of functions it performs, without us knowing it, in fact it is not the colon but the flora and fauna that dwells there, the responsible for the well being of many functions in our body.
The problem has been the missunderstanding of nutrition.
For years we have focous on energy intake :carbohydrates , fat and protein, and excersise so to control our health
" if you eat well, control your calories and do excersise you will be fine"
But if that is true, why we have been witnessing al lot of general syndomes like: diabetes or obesity with levels never seen before in several countries:
what has changed ?
We are eating healthier stuff than ever before !
My finding:
IT IS NOT WHAT WE EAT WHAT IS HARMING US,
IT IS WHAT WE DON´T EAT WHAT IS HARMING US
As we are eating a lot more sugar than before we get the required energy to do what we do with very litlle quantities.
We even think that we are healthier when we start eating less fat or sugar quantities.
The problem is that as we get energy out from a bar, or candy, if we are concern about our health, WE DO NOT EAT ANYTHING ELSE for fear to become fatter, and the energy provide by the bar will be sufficient.
We feel wee are doing the right thing!
WRONG !!
AND THE BIG LOOSER IS FIBER
We humans crave for sugar and fat, that is the kind of stuff we call tasty !!!!
fiber is taste less we do not like it
The problem is that the GOOD FLORA and FAUNA NEEDS FIBER to survive they turn it into BUTYRIC ACID , teh magic healer.
So if we do not eat fiber our COLON suffers, our intestinal flora, suffers and we enter in an umbalance system that creates many of the syndromes we suffer from.
In the next post I will define FIBER, as it is a very wide group of substances and not all of them are the same.
There are some of them almost miracoulous and they should be a must in all diets daily.
in summary:
ASSURING the intake of some fibers in our diet, will control : our constipation, weight, diabetes, cholesterol, fatigue and a lot of syndomes we dont even relate with our colon.
SPECIALLY
We have to assure the intake of SOLUBLE FIBERS that come in : apples, beans and broccoli
