About the solution

Mobiloo consists of a portable toilet with an electric hoist, toilet and sink and was designed by James Brown. "Mobiloo is a complete service. When you book Mobiloo you also get a smiling, welcoming attendant/driver. They will bring a Mobiloo to your event, set it up, supervise its use, keep it clean and be there to ensure a hassle-free experience for users and hirers”, it says on the official website.

James is a Paralympian who won a cycling bronze medal at London 2012. He has 5% vision in his right eye, and 3% in his left eye.

After working with disabled people, a gathered a focus group of engineers, parents, occupational therapists and then designed the Mobiloo. He was soon trialling it at the activities run for disabled children by his community-interest company Active Impact.

“Parents had been telling me what a massive problem toilets can be. Finding one is hard enough but finding one with the right facilities is almost impossible because some kids need to be hoisted onto the table before they can be changed”, he explained.

Mobiloos can be booked online and it suits any event or venue.
