Man launches platform so that mothers and pregnant women can benefit from health services

Gifted Mom consists of a messaging platform that connects pregnant women and mothers to healthcare services providers. It gives the users several services: programs to moms and pregnant women, including maternal education, access to family planning and contraception services, information on when and how to vaccinate children safely, also allowing them to book appointments, find labs and babysitters and also to compare different health insurances.

“I started doing research and talking to health personnel. I noticed that... Pregnant women and infants are literally dying from preventable causes”, Alain recalled.

So he came up with this solution, founding a company around it. Gifted Mom has over 170,000 users, 56 service providers with about 5000 interactions/week.

“My dream is to see an Africa that is well-informed about their medical resources and free of maternal and infant death”, the inventor said.

Alain was recognised as a Global Shaper in 2015 and was the winner of the 2014 Anzisha Prize.
