Junger Mann baut App zur Linderung der Einsamkeit unter Studenten

Über die Lösung

Yoon verbrachte zwei Jahre im südkoreanischen Militär. Er kämpfte mit dem Gefühl von Distanz und Einsamkeit, also wollten wir etwas tun, um die psychische Gesundheit zu verbessern, indem wir die Einsamkeit lindern.

Pop ist eine App, die sich auf die Interessen und die Verfügbarkeit der Benutzer konzentriert, um die Schüler für stundenlange Treffen zusammenzubringen. Zunächst testete er die Idee für diese Lösung, indem er ein Programm im Stil eines Lunch-Buddys erstellte, das Schüler zusammenbrachte, die sich über ein Google-Formular angemeldet hatten.

„Ich habe die Leute manuell verbunden und dann ihr Feedback erhalten. Einige von ihnen haben mir erzählt, dass sie es geliebt haben, und deshalb habe ich eine Anwendung erstellt, die Meetups in Echtzeit basierend auf Interessen, Persönlichkeit und Leidenschaft ermöglicht “, erklärte der Erfinder.

Yoon möchte nicht, dass Pop zu einer App wie Tinder wird. Mit der Hilfe anderer Schüler stellte er ein Team zusammen, das dafür sorgt, dass die App sicher ist und dass die Schüler Freunde suchen, ohne vorher über die App zu chatten oder Fotos zu sehen.

Die mobile App wird im Herbst 2019 exklusiv für Yoons College-Studenten veröffentlicht. Die App wird Freemium sein. Der Entwickler hofft, dass es wächst, damit es jedem Studenten auf der Welt zur Verfügung steht.

"Ich möchte zuerst UT-Schülern helfen und beweisen, dass es funktioniert", sagte Lee. „Dann möchte ich es auf andere Universitäten und dann auf Unternehmen übertragen. Ich hoffe, dass dies ein neues Paradigma der Sozialisierung ist “, stellte er fest.
