About the solution
Children especially those with Down Syndrome has low nasal bridge which makes their eyeglasses susceptible to slipping. There are specialize glasses such as those from SPECS4US are ideal but it may not be readily available or there may be limited designs as compared to normal glasses.
Eyewear temple earhooks for stopping slipping eyeglasses have been around for a few decades but they are generally uncomfortable. They work as a physical support to stop the glasses from moving forward and slipping down the nose. The temple earhook from Beta-Simplicity (http://betasimplicity.com/focus.html) features a cushion that effectively reduce the pressure on the back of your ears. This makes it much more easier to adjust to the right fit and are more comfortable as a result.
