Portuguese couple creates platform to centralize all information about Covid-19

COVID19+Eu is an independent platform created in Portugal with the aim of keeping the population informed, with practical solutions and recommendations. It is maintained by a team of over 40 experts, who share the information in a simple and clear manner, with no technical terms, but always based on official and reliable sources.

The platform was created by a Rita and Sérgio, a Portuguese couple living in London, who was planning to take a gap year to go volunteer in Malawi. However, just before leaving, they went to Porto to say goodbye to their family and friends and ended up being in contact with one of the first confirmed cases in Portugal. They had to cancel their trip and stay in quarantine. In that time, they realized that the information available was dispersed - there was no platform that gathered all the information that people might need to know in this time of crisis. So, they gathered a team and launched COVID19+Eu.

In the platform you can find several useful resources, such as:

• Recommendations for people who belong to Covid19 risk demographics
• solutions and recommendations for healthy people living in isolation, with tips on how to take care of personal well-being, stay productive and physically active
• resources for healthcare professionals, including all the services available to make their lives easier during this time and where they can find psycological support if needed.
• Lists of online services to take advantage of and avoiding living the house
• Ways for people to help during this time, from donating money to volunteering
