Parents develop structure to help their daughter stand

Shared by Marie Esmenio on 2014-04-24 17:24

About the solution

Lilou was born premature and only three days after she was born, the doctors discovered a brain injury. Lilou isn’t able to work or stand without help.
“This stander allows her to wash her hands, brush her teeth, help cooking, wash vegetables, wash dishes with us... When she is in the stand we use a belt around her waist to prevent her from falling and we do not leave her sight.
Lilou enjoys not only not only being our height but also to contribute in all these tasks.” - say the parents on their website.

Lilou’s parents, Geoffrey and Bertille Lecaille, from France, have developed ways to cope with their daughter’s condition, who has Cerebral Palsy. They created a stander that can be put on the sink and allows her to stand and do some tasks.
