Using the Wii-Fit to keep the active patient

Shared by IMM on 2014-02-08 01:10

About the solution

One way to try to minimize the impact of Parkinson's through physical therapy, which keeps the active patient. But this is usually a very tedious and repetitive activity. With the use of the Wii games we made the 2 week sessions a moment of excitement and fun for a patient of 72 years, managing to simultaneously increase their muscle mass and balance.

What great way to add physical exercise and therapy :) What games are you using?

We are using the games of Wii-fit, with support from the physiotherapist, who was incidentally one who had the idea. Is making a mixed game of balance and endurance (like running). And the truth is that already picked up at home, alone, with the walker forward, to prevent falls, to play.
