Camilla Strand podia ver as dificuldades que o seu avô doente enfrentava quando tentava tomar banho. Nesta altura, Camilla estava a estudar design de produto e decidiu criar um dispositivo para ajudar o seu avô e outros idosos, bem como pessoas com limitações físicas a obter independência na sua rotina de banho.
A solução desenvolvida chama-se AbleOn e é um sistema de chuveiro modular que ajuda os idosos a tomar banho. É auto-operável e aumenta a segurança. Pode ser facilmente instalado na casa de banho e pode ser ajustado para as necessidades específicas de cada doente. AbleOn segue o doente de desde o momento em que se despe até entrar no chuveiro, para tomar banho e sair novamente, secando e vestindo-se, contribuindo assim para o aumento da independência e da dignidade.
