Following his Masters of Science in Medical Sciences program and just before starting medical school, Sean decided to poll children with pulmonary hypertension and their parents to see if a cartoon series would be beneficial. That is when Lips Painted Blue was born, and after being funded by the Tom Lantos Innovations in Community Service Award from the Pulmonary Hypertension Association the cartoon series was released in November of 2014.
