Braille Quadrant Graph Math Board

Shared by NealM on 2019-07-15 16:37

About the solution

A tactile 3D printed 2 piece system that allows for tactile plotting on a 4 quadrant graph for students who are blind or visually impaired. Adding a same sized graph paper in between the system will also allow for the plot points to be read in print by sighted classmates and teachers.

About the author

I am Neal Mckenzie and I am an A.T. Specialist who works with blind/low vision students K-12. I had a bright & determined blind student who was struggling to keep up with the in class/real time plot point graphing. He is amazing at math and it is in fact his favorite subject yet he was just zoning out during this daily activity due to lack of a way to accomplish fast plotting and recording in an accessible & tactile method. He not only loves using this board but has been using it for the last 3 years.
