About the solution
We are a group of students of the 4th year of the School of Health Physiotherapy Leiria and develop the project "Everything on Wheels!" as part of the course Education and Health Communication for dissemination of information on Wheelchair.
In Portugal, about 1.5% of the population presents motor impairment, which is a full or partial modification of one or more segments of the human body, resulting impairment of physical function, loss of complete or partial motor function, amputation or absence of members, cerebral palsy and congenital or acquired deformities. In this regard, it is noted that many of these individuals have difficulty in walking, revealing need to use a wheelchair.
So, our project aims to provide knowledge about using the wheelchair for the user, carers, health professionals and the general public thus promoting better quality of life.
Visit, discover and surprise yourself with "no one talks about wheelchairs."
