About the solution

Hemorrhoids are caused by the over stretching of anal tissues while defecating. As hard feces pass through the anus, they roll the anal lining inside out, allowing it to over stretch. Prevent the outward roll and you prevent excessive stretching.
The solution is simple. Take about two squares of toilet paper and fold it around the tip of your index finger to keep your finger clean. Reach between the legs and hold down the forward edge of the anus to prevent that forward edge from unrolling as you push to defecate. If the forward edge doesn’t unroll, neither will the rest of the anal ring.
The first part of the feces, which has been waiting longest in line to exit, is usually harder than the rest, due to compacting and loss of moisture while it waits. If necessary, one can use the finger tip to also massage that hard part a little to soften it up and get it out the door. The rest follows relatively easily.
A high fiber diet also helps, by making the feces moister and softer.
