Father develops communication app for physicians and patients

Shared by Merle Schlottmann on 2017-04-10 16:14

About the solution

When his daughter had symptoms of skin rash on a holiday trip abroad, his wife texted and sent a picture to a friend, a physician. Following his instructions, the problem was solved fast.

That is how Simon Bolz was in inspired to found a company to develop a messaging app for managing relationships between healthcare professionals and providers (pharmacists, billers, therapists) and patients.

Klara provides sending of test results, a messaging platform to ask and answer questions as well as modern features like push notification and reading prescriptions.

“Bolz was inspired to make healthcare an easy, connected experience. He likes to call Klara the ‘Central Nervous System of Healthcare’”, observes his co-founder Dr. Simon Lorenz.

Currently, the founders concentrate on the NY market, to create and make use of network effects but they are growth-focused.
