Cancer survivors create a children's book about the disease to destigmatize and normalize conversations about cancer

About the solution

"Can-Can and the Adventure of Ming Island" is a children's book co-authored and illustrated by Carmen Monge and Heenah Pokun. It is the heartwarming tale of Can-Can the panda and his faithful friend, Mopri, the sloth, as together they embark on an epic adventure through the jungles of Ming Island... and the journey of Can-Can's cancer diagnosis. This is not a story that delivers the facts about cancer treatment. This is a story about life AROUND cancer, and about friendship and family.
