About the solution
Debby wanted to find a way to make her son walk, or a way that make him feel like he was walking.
In the beginning, Debby walked every day with her son on her back, but it was a painful task. And it was when Debby thought, "there must be a better way". She tried several strategies to be able to connect the child to her body, bearing in mind that walking process had to be comfortable for both. After several sketches, the Upsee emerged.
The Upsee is a mobility device that allows children with motor impairment to stand and walk with the help of an adult. It consists of three parts (a harness, a pair of sandals and a belt) with a patented design that uses durable, machine-washable and breathable fabrics, so that both the caregiver as the child find it comfortable, reliable and easy to clean.
Debby remembers that at the end of the first year, she could feel her child pull her to walk and later on, family activities became a reality. The innovation created by Debby allowed possible scenarios, such as her son playing football with his older brother and his father.

This is wonderful and exciting news as the lack of mobility and confinement to a life sentence in a wheelchair is an ongoing nightmare.

It's heartwarming to read these types of stories. The lengths parents go for their child under all circumstances is truly remarkable. It causes parents to achieve and do more than they could possibly do. https://www.handymaninfresno.com

These children are wonderful! They are lucky that their parents made an amazing device to help them walk. As for the parent, you are very very brilliant in making such a great device for your children to help them. Parents really are very creative to make sure they help their children stand up and be happy again. Great parents! Thank you for sharing this idea.
