Grandfather creates chair for his disabled grandson

Shared by Ana Duarte on 2017-04-17 15:25

About the solution

Using metal, boards and wheels, Roger invented a structure that adapts to the wheelchair, and helps Wout to be at the same height as his friends.

The grandfather developed a mobile structure adapted to accommodate Wout’s seat, at a total cost of about 70€.

About the author

Roger Van Criekinge, from Belgium, has a grandson, Wout, who has motor disabilities. Wout uses a special wheelchair, which is practical but very low. The problem was that during classes, Wout was not able to sit at the same table as his peers. So his grandfather Roger built him a new structure.
